Welcome to Vinomofo, mofo. That’s right, you’re not a mere person any more – you’ve been upgraded to a mofo. Now, let’s get you acquainted with the kinds of benefits you can expect with such an elevated life status.
The Mofo Welcome Kit introduces you to an example of three of our key offer types:
- A Collaboration Series wine
- A daily deal
- A Black Market deal
The Collaboration Series Wine
With our Collab Series, we’ve teamed up with our dream winemakers to create the wines we’ve always wanted in our lives. Now we get to share them with the world.
Arcadia Bohemia Chardonnay 2017
Mornington Peninsula, Victoria
This is a firm favourite at Mofo HQ, and sadly it’s now sold out – these cases are the last place you can find Arcadia. So surrender, and be lead gently by the hand to your flavour nirvana. The dream starts with vibrant citrus and grapefruit notes, with lashings of pear and pineapple. Immerse in this utopia one sip at a time and be revived by invigorating acidity and textural complexity. Step into a pure heavenly garden of 100% hand-picked Mornington Peninsula fruit.
Grown on 25-year-old vines at up to 220 metres above sea level, Arcadia is at once subtle and complex. A wild Mornington delight, this chardonnay unashamedly revels in its own citrus zest, celebrates the stone fruit and adores a good helping of grapefruit. With tickles of clove and macadamia nut, it’s about time you stepped into this heavenly garden.
YOU’D PAY $18 full price.
The Daily Deal
This is an example of what we do on the daily – good wine only, incredible value. And we can show you the brand, so there’s no guesswork involved. This wine illustrates the kind of brands and quality you can expect at the ’fo.
Château La Clapière Cru Classé Rosé 2017
Alright, this pushes the friendship of ‘white wine’, but it goes in the fridge, too. And you can’t fake this kind of fun and flavour. This rosé is one of only 18 illustrious Cru Classé estates internationally recognised as Provence’s best rosés. This particular pink is made from cinsault, grenache and syrah - it’s a super pretty wine with delicate wafts of fine perfume, tropical fruits, sage and rocky mineral notes. It’s moderate intensity, more a play on delicacy and finesse than power. It finishes peachy and plummy with a crisp citrus crunch.
YOU’D PAY $40 full price.
The Black Market Deal
A Black Market deal is a little bit secretive, not by design but by necessity. We hide the brand identity to protect the maker’s other routes to market. No question though, it’s as boutique and fully-branded as our other daily deals, you just won’t know what it actually is until it hits your doorstep. The secrecy is worth it. Reap the rewards.
BLACK MARKET Riesling 2017
Clare Valley, South Australia
95pts Sam Kim | 5 star Halliday rated winery
Superb young riesling here, from the best Clare vintage since the epic 2012. It’s not a steely citrus tastebud assault, so it’s approachable and friendly. But it’s not lacking in definition or expression either. Fruit comes in the form of grapefruit pith, lemon flesh and white peach, with a smack around the face of freshly washed continental parsley and coriander. It’s fine and clean, with just enough sweetness to do its job with aplomb: match any and all food that goes on a Lazy Suzan.
YOU’D PAY $22 full price.
