A few words about the wine from Wine Dealer, Tane: Pierre Bertrand is a small family-owned âgrower producerâ, which means that (unlike many of the big Champagne brands) the grapes used were selected and handpicked from their very own vineyards. This means that the utmost attention and care is given to every step of the process, from vine to bottle. This outstanding Premier Cru Champagne is complex, textural, impeccably balanced, and bloody delicious (and if that doesnât tick all your boxes, then Iâm sorry to say, but youâve got too many boxes). Itâs no wonder the judges on the Decanter tasting panel gave it an astounding 98 Points, making it one of the highest-rated wines of the year... phenomenal! (or, as the French say: phĂ©nomĂ©nal!)

A few words about the wine from Wine Dealer, Jordan: How great would it be to have Argentinaâs 2019 Winemaker of the year at your next dinner party? Well we have the next best thing! The El Enemigo Chardonnay 2019 was carefully created by âThe Master of Chardonnayâ Alejandro Vigil and after tasting this, youâll know how he got that nickname. A perfectly balanced array of flavours, from zesty lemon, toastiness and honeyed almonds. Trust me, if you need to impress the mother-in-law who you think secretly has it out for you? Pop this in front of her and by the first sip, sheâll be your biggest fan!

A few words about the wine from Wine Dealer, Angelo: If you are new to the style, Sancerre is an appellation in the eastern part of the Loire Valley in France that specialises in Sauvignon Blanc, and Pascal Jolivet makes some of the most classic examples of it from the region. This complex vino absolutely blew me away at a recent tasting! The nose is exotic and inviting, leading to a light yet powerful, textural, and complex palette with gorgeous acidity and a racy minerally finish. When youâre drinking this wine, remember to tap your toes and say out loud, âMofo, I have a feeling weâre not in Marlborough anymoreâ. Thatâs right Toto - this is Sancerre.

- Frankland River
A few words about the wine from Wine Dealer, Dave: Frankland River, one of the most beautiful sub-regions of Great Southern, is home to some of WAâs finest reds. This blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Cabernet Franc is a wonderful expression of the land, with fruit hailing from some of the oldest vineyards in the region. This was my stand out drop from a recent Wine Dealer tasting! On the nose I got dark chocolate, blackberries, black pepper, dried sage and fennel. The palate is equally complex, with rich dark fruit and chocolate on dried herbs layered over remarkably robust tannins and fresh acidity. Perfect to pair with red meats at dinner!

- Mornington Peninsula
A few words about the wine from Wine Dealer, Charlotte: This is quintessential Mornington Pinot Noir. Sourced from three prime vineyards along the Peninsula and made by one of my all time favourite wine makers of the Peninsula, Andrew Santarossa. On the nose youâll be drawn in with pomegranate, bramble, cherry, baking spike. On the palate you can expect a medium bodied, crunchy, delicate pinot noir full of bright cherry and cranberry. I typically find that this one shows itâs best colours with a bit of time in the bottle (6-12months) if you can wait. Or just a nice healthy decant if you want to get stuck into it now. Pour a glass and have a platter of your favourite hard cheeses, you wonât regret it!

A few words about the wine from Wine Dealer, Nicci: As Cher once said: If I could Sauternes back timeâŠ. I would make crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e, I would buy a wheel of blue cheese, And youâd stay. For dessert at least! What a sweet and succulent way to top off an epic meal. This Bordeaux sticky is like diving gracefully into a beehive where all the bees are angels with halos made of lime marmalade. Divine!
