Mitchell's Clare Valley riesling is from the Alcatraz vineyard, one that was planted nearly sixty years ago and always dry farmed. The vines have never seen chemicals and are hand pruned and harvested. That right there is a winning combination. As you’d expect from quality Clare rizza, there’s generosity on the palate, driving acidity and of course ageability. It’s got minerality, citrus notes and floral aromas. Not a hair out of place.

Kirrihill has turned sangiovese pink. This fresh and bright rosé is bursting with cherries and pomegranate, but still has the dry, textural and savoury undertones of the source fruit. Aromatically, it's all roses and strawberries, with a touch of spice on the palate at the finish. Smashable and super enjoyable...exactly what rosé is meant to be.

Producer Maison Ventenac seem to be capturing our hearts one by one. Firstly, the wines are excellent. Secondly, they are beautifully packaged (you do taste with your eyes first). And thirdly - you’ll find little gems on on their website like these: “The sunny, gourmand Chardonnay of the South becomes tauter, livelier, and the taste buds want more.” “And if you ask us, ‘Why did you add Gros Manseng?’, we reply, ‘Why not?’.” Our taste buds are certainly wanting more of this delightfully refreshing chardy. It’s got just the right amount of mellow melon, puckering citrus and lively minerality. If you like your whites fresh and aromatic but not without oomph - this is a great wine to try.

5 Star Halliday rated producer

Originally from northeast Italy, prosecco has made a happy home here in the King Valley, Victoria. Here it has flourished in cool hills of the region and the hands of the Italian migrants who settled here over 60 years ago. Today, prosecco has taken the world by storm, and in Australia, Santa & D’sas are among the most exciting producers quenching our insatiable thirst for these bubbles. And this little helper will make sure you’re thoroughly refreshed.
