Why do we love this case?

Maybe it’s just me, but as the weather gets warmer, I get a bit excited and I simply can’t decide between whites, bubbles and rosé! Well guess what, this Spring Selection has got you covered with a great mix of all three - wines to chill-down for a wind-down. With six different, and all delicious, styles of wine, we suggest clearing out some fridge space to get yourself spring-ready.

Each case contains TWO bottles of each:

Big Easy Radio Rosé 2019
Floral
Lemon Zest
Strawberry
Light-bodied
Bright
Delicate

The ripper rosé is exactly as the name says - Big and Easy - big on flavour and easy on the eyes. Made from McLaren Vale mataro and grenache, it’s full of berries and has a palate like a rose petal - soft and plush. The plushness is balanced by a refreshing, zest finish. Great wine from a mofo favourite who always delivers.

Five Red Star Halliday Rated Winery

When you want to spice things up and try something a little more exotic, viognier provides the answer. With the floral aromatics of riesling combined with the texture of chardonnay, viognier is often called the red drinker’s white because of its extra body and complexity. It’s a tricky beast in the vineyard - but in the glass - wow! This one from Known Pleasures has floral elements and five-spice combining with apricot kernels and gentle ginger. The palate kicks on with an enticing slippery texture, while still finishing with fine citrus acidity. It’s easy to see how this style can handle a chilli kick. Take your pick with Indian tandoori chicken, Sichuan dishes, Vietnamese pho or spicy char kway teow.

Give me a reason why Prosecco isn’t the most succulently superbly unsurpassably smashable form of bubbly, and I’ll give you a million why it is. Light, bright, fruity and fun, it’s the fastest ticket to an Italianate love of life in a glass. This one is insane value, even in a relatively low-cost genre, and as tantalisingly tasty as many of its more exxy stablemates. Don’t mess around, mofos. Stock up on this beauty while it’s here. It’s destined to disappear fast.

Bellvale are a small Gippsland producer with a very large following of their very smart wines. Their chardonnay is quite rich and has a leesy, nutty character that is balanced by vibrant acidity. It's the kind of wine to put in a big glass and watch unfold as a bit of time and air show a particularly detailed wine.

This is classic sauvignon blanc from one of Nelson’s best producers. Although not in the limelight like it’s neighbour Marlborough, Nelson is on the up and getting a great reputation for classy sauvignon blanc. This wine has bright aromas of gooseberry and grapefruit and the palate has all the tropical fruit you’d expect of the style, with a long, mineral finish. Fresh, fun and delicious!

Thistledown are a producer who are making sensational wine across South Aussie wine regions and it is great to see them working with riesling from the famous (and wonderful) Clare Valley. This wine is classic Clare - mouthwateringly crisp with heaps of citrus, floral notes and quince. It is certainly worthy of ageing and we expect the texture to become more prominent over time.
