Why do we love this case?

Oh shiraz! Our one and only national obsession and love affair! This collection of shirazes is anything but ordinary. From your special bottle to your weekday quaffer, we’ve got you covered. From elegant and poised, to rich and raucous, there’s a little bit of everything and more. And because we love it so much we’ve decided to dedicate this pack to one and only Barossa Valley.

Each pack contains TWO bottles each of the following:

GSM 2018

Barossa Valley, SA

95pts Sam Kim | 5 Stars Sam Kim

Barossa GSM is an absolute institution. This one, produced by a family-owned winery, is composed of nearly equal parts of the three varieties. It has that typical grenache spice to it, but the inclusion of shiraz and mourvédre smooth things out a bit. It’s a touch creamy with redcurrant and strawberry aromas, flowing beautifully into a palate of plum, more strawberry and dark chocolate. The tannins are silky smooth, making this ready to drink now or for the next seven to eight years.

YOU’D PAY $55 full price.

Shiraz 2018

Barossa Valley, SA

95pts Sam Kim

This year’s season produced juice of incredible quality, loaded to the brim with dark berries, plums and dramatic spices. Maturation in American oak gives both delightful toastiness and a fabulously creamy and coconut-rich finish. It’s big,  bold, and ballsy drinking to sink your teeth into at important family get-togethers. This beast will cellar for a decade or more, easily. That’s no reason to shy away from opening it though.

YOU’D PAY $50 full price.

Shiraz 2018

Barossa Valley, SA

Single Vineyard | 5 Star Halliday Rated Winery

This single vineyard shiraz, from one of the regions top producers is an inimitable expression of Barossa shiraz. Deep purple and looking like the adolescent that it is, with so much potential for ageing. It’s a powerful wine, full of fruit and aged in 30% new French oak - just the right amount. Plum, spice and dark chocolate, laced liberally with licorice, and black pepper, make this a mouthful to remember. It’s got years left in it, but you don’t need to wait, as it gracefully hits it’s stride.

YOU’D PAY $45 full price.

Shiraz 2017

Barossa Valley, SA

5 Red Star Halliday Rated Winery | Single Vineyard

What do you get when you blend big bold Barossa shiraz with big bold Barossa primitivo? Surprise, surprise! You get a big bold Barossa blend. And a rich red like this needs some time in barrel. How about 18 months in a combination of French and American oak? That cedary backbone lifts up the dark berry fruit, plum and spice of the wine. So if you’re into all that the Barossa can jam pack into a bottle, then this is your jam.

YOU’D PAY $42 full price.

Shiraz 2018

Barossa Valley, SA

95pts Sam Kim | 5 Stars Wine Orbit | Single Vineyard

Here is another vintage of big, bold Barossa goodness, the one year younger version of a wine that our mofos couldn’t get enough of!! It’s classic, powerful, rich Barossa shiraz with all the trimmings. A solid full-bodied palate, overflowing with fruit, spice and deliciousness. There is depth and complexity in the richness, with well-integrated tannin and a long finish. It’s from the lauded sub-region of Vine Vale, where the best of the best are grown, resulting in a raucously ripe and powerfully plush profile that shiraz lovers across the country are sure to enjoy.

Shiraz 2018

Barossa Valley, SA

The opening salvo screams plush, juicy cherries and burstingly-ripe plums. Sweet-fruited and intense, it crackles with spice and charry-licorice flavours. Lithe, lively acidity keeps things surprisingly refreshing; another glass is always very tempting. A lick of milk chocolate softens out the tannins, before a long, thoughtful finish while the smoke clears. Victory never tasted so good.

YOU’D PAY $15 full price.

What is a Black Market deal?

Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
