Shiraz 2019

Barossa Valley, SA

Single Vineyard

This delectable shiraz comes from a family-owned, Barossa Valley winery, who have been working as growers and makers for the last 40 years. This particular wine is from one of the celebrated subregions of Barossa that you’ll be familiar with when you see the bottle. As for the wine, after the grapes are picked at perfect ripeness and fermented to dryness, the wine the spends a couple of years in new and seasoned French oak barrels. The resulting wine is dark and deep, with blueberries, spice and a touch of white pepper on the nose. The palate is full of fine tannins and rich red fruits like cherries and plums. Huon Hooke even predicts that this big Aussie red lovers will go for this producer in a big way, calling all Aussie red lovers!

Shiraz 2017

Barossa Valley, SA

95pts Sam Kim | 5 Stars Sam Kim

This is the second vintage we’ve had of this wine made by a family that has been at it in South Australia since the mid-1800’s. For this shiraz, they have sourced grapes from several growers around the Barossa, resulting in a balanced and stylish wine indicative of the region. It’s rich, velvety, deep in colour and lengthy on the palate. Gentle working in the winery has kept the tannins soft and really brought forward an expression of blackberries, chocolate and coffee. This is big, bold and smooth Barossa shiraz to kick back with on a chilly night.

Shiraz 2018

Barossa Valley, SA

95pt Sam Kim | 5 Stars Sam Kim | Vegan Friendly

We’ve had a few shiraz from this producer out of the Barossa, but here’s one they’ve sourced from McLaren Vale. The Barossa ones were MASSIVE hits with our mofo’s and after tasting, we’re 110% sure this will be too. It’s full of dark fruits, darker chocolate and the darkest licorice. There’s a bit of that vanilla vibe coming from the oak and the tannins are super silky on the finish. This is ripe, toasty, powerful and most importantly delicious.

What is a Black Market deal?

Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
