It’s safe to say this wine is a ‘shoe-in’. Multiple vintages of this exact vino have rushed into our warehouse and zoomed straight back out and to your front door faster than you can say ‘shiraz blended with cab sav and a splash of cab franc’. It’s so SO popular with our thirsty mofo members. At its core, we have all the plush dark berries, plums and chocolatey goodness that you’d expect from McLaren Vale. But the blend of cabernets is what lifts this drop way above entry level, firm tannins and a liveliness on the back palate provide wonderful length and serious structure; perfect to pair with your good old fashioned Sunday roast lamb with all the trimmings.

Shiraz 2019

Great Southern, WA

95pts Sam Kim | 5 Stars Sam Kim | 5 Star Halliday Rated Winery

One of WA’s greatest producers makes this shiraz under a side project label. This side project stands tall in its own right though with a Five Star Halliday rating and 95 points from Sam Kim. Fruit is sourced from vineyards in Great Southern before being taken to the winery to ferment with 20% whole bunches. Texture is the name of the game with this wine with only older oak used in the ageing process. Bright red fruits are accompanied by pepper, minerality, licorice, earthiness and silky tannins. It’s a fun and casual wine, but there’s a lot of complexity just beneath the surface. Beauty and brains - the complete package!

93pts James Suckling | Single Vineyard 

Boy, do we have our hands on something special here. Hailing from Pyrenees, this is single vineyard shiraz with seven years of age on it. Lucky us! After a year in French oak, the wine was bottled and sent to cellar. It’s drinking so well now, expressing cherry, blackberry, tobacco and licorice. When something this tasty falls right into our laps, we’re stoked to share it with you!

South Australia

Single Vineyard

This South Aussie shiraz has quite the following in the USA and has all the bold flavours and rich palate you would expect. It’s pronounced and powerful on the nose with toasted coconut oak notes from the time spent in American oak. The palate is full of dark chocolate, black cherries and plums in a rich and robust body. Tannins are present and beg for a delicious BBQ’d meat. If you like wine big and you like wine powerful, give this one a go.

This shiraz is made where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet and you could certainly classify it as a maritime climate, cool enough to produce the elegant, lifted, lighter and peppery styles of shiraz. If this is your first taste of South African wine, you will not be disappointed.

Hello amazing value South Aussie shiraz! If you are a shiraz lover, keen on the generosity and flavour-power of the South Australian style... keep reading. This wine is from one of the leading (warmer) regions and a producer who really knows what they are doing in the vineyard and winery. It’s classic full-bodied shiraz with fruit aplenty - rich plums, dark cherries and fresh dates. The nose is full of spice, which continues on the palate, which is plush and full of soft smooth tannins.
