Domaine FL is a family run winery in the Loire Valley, an area that has been making wine for kinds and queens since the 4th century. This superstar producer is crafting quite possibly the most compelling single vineyard chenin out of Loire Valley right now, stuff that needs to be on the radar of every lover of the variety. We’ve put together a trio of some of their most impressive bottles for you to dig into.

Each pack contains ONE bottle of the following:

Domain FL’s ‘Le Parc’ is 100% chenin blanc from the sub appellation of Savennières, which is considered to be the Grand Cru of the Loire Valley The wine is structured and textural and really a quite serious chenin. Spring flora abounds on the nose, with zesty citrus fruit on the palate and steely minerality. This will be a wonderful aged wine for those who wait, so, sit this one down for a few extra years and reap the rewards of chenin blanc at its finest.

La Frémine is an organic site planted over schist soils, lending an unmistakable minerality to the wine. In its youth, it’s laden with lime, slight salinity and hints of white flowers on the nose. As it ages, the more rich and honeyed characteristics will show themselves, making for compelling drinking now and for years to come.

Organic

‘Chamboureau’, an organic chenin blanc cuvée, comes from a plot of land surrounding the château of the very same name. The individual components see 12 months on lees in barrel before blending. We fancy ourselves fairly well versed in wine-speak here at the ‘Fo, but there’s just something that pops about James Suckling’s 98pt review of the wine: “Stare into the abyss and it will stare back at you! This has such an incredible depth of dried-flower and fresh-herb notes that you could get lost in the bouquet, before reaching the sleek and enormously mineral palate. So pristine and dazzling at the super long finish. Drink or hold.”
