Sauvignon Blanc Lineup 25.0
- Mixed
- Various
There’s a reason sav blanc has taken the world by storm. For crisp and refreshing, but also massively flavoursome, drinking, it’s just about the best grape for the job. Any naysayers are just jealous their faves taste bland in comparison! Ok there’s room for everyone at the ‘fo, but this savvy lineup is made with devotees in mind. From clean minerality to passionfruit punch, there’s the whole spectrum of savvy styles to savour. Plus, there’s an extra bottle of each - so you get to revisit your faves!
The bottles pictured here do not necessarily reflect the bottle shapes or closures that will be included in this pack. The Vinomofo team is working from home, to help fight against COVID-19 and keep staff safe, so all that cool stuff we use to make things look pretty is back at the office. We reckon that, so long as the wine is good (and it is!) it doesn’t matter too much under the circumstances. Hope you agree!
Each case contains TWO bottles of the following:

This delicious sauvignon blanc is from the Estate Range of wines from the most excellent Gabriëlskloof, located near Bot River, outside of Cape Town. They are a quality-focused producer who practice sustainable farming with a mission to find the right variety for each corner of their farm. This sauv blanc is made with the same TLC as their top wines, but with immediate approachability - a real ready-to-drinkness. The wine is raised in stainless steel tanks and left on its lees for four months before bottling. That time gives a hit of texture to the otherwise bright and young wine. It’s a great version of sauv with a nose full of lemongrass and pear, and a light-weight, fruit-filled palate with juicy acidity giving the wine length.

When sauvignon blanc is given a touch of oak, it brings about such a beautiful undercurrent of texture, structure and length. You’ll still get all the hallmarks of the varietal everyone knows and loves like passionfruit and guava, but there’s so much more. Call it an unlocking of potential if you will. Ghost Rock makes their sav blanc from estate fruit with a deft touch. It’s your favourite wine, levelled up.

Welcome to the big wide wine world vintage 2020 and what a super way to kick things off with a Capel Vale, 5 red star producer. Two words that describe WA vintages? Consistently consistent. This Pemberton savvy bee displays lifted aromas of white florals, your recognisable splash of passionfruit and a long, driving citrusy acidity that provides simultaneous length and balance. Find a grassy spot in the afternoon sun and put your feet up with your favourite book and sip on this nice and chilled and quench that thirst.

Aussie sauvignon blanc does not get much better than this. Terre a Terre treats all of their vines and wines with the same high level of care and expertise. Handpicked and partially fermented in large format oak, this is a wine that speaks of place - Wrattonbully’s limestone soils, and the maker, who is intensely quality-focused. A floral and fresh sweet herb nose lead onto a green apple palate with a touch of tropical fruit. The acid is bound in the fruit and the palate is super-long. I haven’t tasted an Aussie sav as good as this in years.

This is classic sauvignon blanc from one of Nelson’s best producers. Although not in the limelight like it’s neighbour Marlborough, Nelson is on the up and getting a great reputation for classy sauvignon blanc. This wine has bright aromas of gooseberry and grapefruit and the palate has all the tropical fruit you’d expect of the style, with a long, mineral finish. Fresh, fun and delicious!

This is an excellent example of Adelaide Hills savvy bee, under the King's Table label. It's quite fruity on the nose but not over-the-top tropical. The bright fruit is held together wonderfully by some enthralling texture and vibrant acid, making for a really crisp, enjoyable white wine.
