Ah, the age-old debate. Do I go for a gris or a grigio? Centuries of hard study and impossible calculations by boffins all over the world have gotten us no closer to finding an answer.

Why do we love this case?
Then, someone at Vinomofo put this case together and we collectively face-palmed at the simplicity of the solution. Here, you get two bottles of six different wines. Each wine is a little different so you’ve got some room for exploration, too. It’s pretty much the best way to get around the grape.
2x Twin Valleys Pinot Gris 2023
White — Pinot Gris
Alpine Valleys — Australia
Exuding elegance and charm, this is a gris that captivates all senses. Delicate floral aromas intertwine with the vibrant spiced pear fruit notes, cinnamon, and Meyer lemon, creating an inviting bouquet. Tensely balanced to provide both freshness and texure, this is really an ‘all-purpose’ wine for any food or mood.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Brightwater Pinot Gris 2022
White — Pinot Gris
Nelson — New Zealand
Textbook pinot gris from Nelson in the north of New Zealand’s wild South Island. The wine spends three months on lees to build texture, flavour and complexity, delivering that slippery gris style with fresh orchard pear and white peach notes. The aromatics are bang on the money - with jasmine, rosewater and fresh herbs. There’s no way that this could be mistaken for a lighter, leaner pinot grigio style. It’s far too curvy and voluptuous for that, in classic Kiwi gris style.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Viveur Pinot Gris 2022
White — Pinot Gris
Limestone Coast — Australia
This pinot gris is all about great winemaking. It’s an idea that seems rather obvious, doesn’t it? We’re not just talking about standard, good, everyday wine here. No no. This is an outstanding drop from Dan Berrigan, one of our favourite winemakers on the scene. These wines are fun, playful, energetic and geared for drinking on every occasion (no, apparently, a glass of gris with breakfast on a Tuesday doesn’t regularly fall into that category). But hey, you try and keep your hands off!
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Haselgrove First Cut Pinot Grigio 2022
White — Pinot Grigio
Adelaide Hills — Australia
Haselgrove can do no wrong, and with a strong Italian influence in the winery, pinot grigio is like mother's milk. It's like walking through an apple orchard on a crisp summer's day, the smell of cut grass and green apple skins wafting into the air. This is what pinot grigio is all about: life's simple pleasures. Abundantly fresh and vivacious, this will set your mood alight.
You’d pay $26 full price.

2x Fox Gordon Charlotte's Web Pinot Grigio 2021
White — Pinot Grigio
Adelaide Hills — Australia
A long awaited return for this mofo fave grigio, and we have to say it was absolutely worth it. The Adelaide Hills have been producing vino that has our heads in the clouds, and the beauty of grigio from this high country is its pure, refreshing delight. Crunchy throughout, with apples and pears leading the charge. Despite the rich flavours, it’s still super easy drinking and stellar value for under $12. Keep a bit of summer in your fridge this winter!
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Gapsted Limited Release Pinot Grigio 2022
White — Pinot Grigio
King Valley — Australia
The Alpine and King Valleys are national leaders for producing delicious grigio. It’s likely thanks to all the Italian influence up there. There’s more Italian surnames floating around those parts than in The Godfather. So really, you’d expect them to know what they’re doing with pinot grigio.
This’ll keep you cool and refreshed on the hottest of days. It’ll please everyone from Auntie Karen to your grigio-guzzling bestie. Don’t turn your nose up at a great wine doing great work, even if it is as ludicrously low priced as this. Trust in this great value vino. It’ll repay you in flavour, every damn day.
You’d pay $25 full price.
