Why do we love this case?

Ok so the only real danger with this delicious mixed dozen is that you’ll never look back. It’s all about the delight-to-dollar ratio here as we’ve assembled some of our very favourite wines into one box. There’s a cheeky bottle every occasion. Don’t let me keep you a second longer, mofo!

Every box contains TWO bottles each of the following:

Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Limestone Coast, VIC

94pts Sam Kim | 5 Stars Sam Kim | Single Vineyard

This tasty cabernet straddles both worlds of youthful and serious, from Coonawarra’s little brother region of the Limestone Coast. Drinkability is at the forefront, with just enough tannin structure to make you know it’s cabernet. Black currants, spice and dark herbaceous notes are underscored by licorice and a touch of pepper. Fruit delivers powerfully and with some unexpected mid-palate richness. Long-lasting Limestone Coast goodness right here.

Riesling 2020

Clare Valley, SA

Single Vineyard

When we find a treasure that our mofos love, we keep going back for more. Here’s the third vintage of this Clare riesling that we’ve featured and the first two were a roaring success. It comes from one of the rising stars of the region and hits all the notes you’ve come to expect. It’s bursting with citrus, minerality and texture. Riesling from Clare is renowned for it’s bracing acid line carried forth with vivid fruit. This one delivers all that and then some. Load up the cellar before it’s gone!

Pinot Grigio 2020

King Valley, VIC

The Alpine and King Valleys are national leaders for producing delicious grigio. It’s likely thanks to all the Italian influence up there. There’s more Italian surnames floating around those parts than in The Godfather. So really, you’d expect them to know what they’re doing with pinot grigio.

This’ll keep you cool and refreshed on the hottest of days. It’ll please everyone from Auntie Karen to your grigio-guzzling bestie. Don’t turn your nose up at a great wine doing great work, even if it is as ludicrously low priced as this. Trust in this great value vino. It’ll repay you in flavour, every damn day.

YOU’D PAY $25 full price.

Shiraz 2017

Great Southern, WA

5 Red Star Halliday Rated Winery

We all know the drill with Great Southern shiraz by now. It’s got all the dense dark fruits of your favourite SA drop paired with the medium body and herbal notes of more cool climate examples of the variety. This one comes from one of Great Southern’s top producers and has a bright fruit profile of blackberry and plum with an intriguing spiciness finished off by fine tannins. Everyone at the table will be angling for that last glass from the bottle.

YOU’D PAY $22 full price.

Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Adelaide Hills, SA

94pts James Halliday | 92pts The Real Review | 92pts Wine Orbit | Halliday Special Value Award | Vegan Friendly

An absolute classic out of the Adelaide Hills, aromatic on the nose, smelling of a fresh spring morning, with clean lemon pith and grapefruit citrus searing through. This wine offers a breath of fresh air after a day swimming in the sun at the beach - keep this one in your esky, ice cold to enjoy as you watch the sun go down, with your fish and chips. Watch out for those seagulls, they will be wanting a glass of this to go with those chips!

YOU’D PAY $20 full price.

Montepulciano D’Abruzzo 2018

Tuscany, Italy

This montepulciano has “pizza wine” written all over it. With heaps of ripe red berries and spicy plum, all you need is a good bit of dough and a lathering of real napoli sauce.

YOU’D PAY $20 full price.

What is a Black Market deal?

Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article, absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
