Collaboration Case
What happens when a bunch of wine-loving mofos get to approach their favourite wineries across Australia and ask them to make a wine just for them? Well, after much blushing and bashful tittering on our part, the brief was laid out. Style was agreed, fruit selected, wine made, labels designed and awesomeness achieved - even if we do say so. These three are our top-of-the-line vino babies. Nothing was spared in their making and we’re rightly proud of them. Here’s a chance to try them each, and fall in love, just as we did. Enjoy, mofos. We certainly are.
Each three-pack has one of the following killer collaboration wines:

The Don will smack you in the face with aromas of intense raspberry, dark cherry and black spice before bringing you under his wing with a long, slinky palate. Super complex (is he a hero? Is he a villain?) with gossamer tannins, The Don is going to stick around the ’hood for the next 8-12 years. This boss is not here to mess around, mofos. This is brilliantly rendered, beautiful pinot. Fragrance, depth, perfect poise and ripeness. The oak is almost non-existent, just a support structure for the pristine fruit flavours, of which there are many. Raspberry coulis, blackberry juice, crunchy red apple, soft florals and spice, rich earthiness. Silken texture and wonderful acid drive. The 2015 was a lovely wine itself, but the 2016 is a big step up.

Mimi is bright and perky, greeting you with grapefruit and lime. She’s got a light feather boa of new French oak gently wrapped around her elegant frame as she stands, the picture of poise, on one leg. With a little time, she opens up to gentle aromas of cloudy apple juice and just-cut white peach. She’s from as classy a stock as there is, in the legendary 2017 vintage, and with some of the finest fruit in all the Yarra. Drink now for the freshness of youth, or watch her plumage brighten over the coming years. After a decade or so she’ll be flying higher than ever.

Meet The General. An idea, an art form, and the very essence of the Barossa craft. The General is form and function. It’s something to marvel at, but while eating dinner with friends. A bottle to prize, but one that’s never beyond opening. Decadent plum and cherry jam swagger with a chocolate and raisin edge. There’s a nice dash of oak, both new and old, lending structure. Broad-shouldered tannins enhance an already powerful presence. It’s big and ballsy. Drink it now for hard-hitting precision, but it'll also age brilliantly, and revel in softer, nuanced maturity. It’s everything a premium Barossa shiraz should be. Bold and unbridled.
