Adelaide Hills, SA
This chardonnay is a side project for a producer who works across a few regions and here showcases a region and variety that go hand-in-hand: Adelaide Hills and chardonnay. This is an impressive example of Hills chardy - it’s friendly and laid back, but still exciting and full of life. Abound with citrus and pear fruits on the nose and a fine, textured palate - it’s an easygoing wine that’s perfect for any occasion and so many cuisines.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
5 Star Halliday Rated Winery | Women in Wine
Unmistakably Coonawarra cabernet that doesn’t cost the earth. It doesn’t need a decade in the cellar either. Softly but firmly structured, it’s easy and enjoyable drinking, with all the luscious, brambly berries, eucalypt and cedar notes you’re longing for.

Dark in the glass, spicy and lifted on the nose, structured and full-bodied on the palate. There’s a lot going on there, but it’s pretty easy drinking as well. Fruit is on the black side, both currant and berry. But there’s some dark chocolate and herbs behind all of that, adding a really nice layer of interest to the wine. On the finish, the tannins are fine and the acid is apparent, making for a versatile food wine no matter the dish.

Pinot Gris 2020
King Valley, VIC
There is an intense palate of fresh cut pear, green apple and subtle spice on the finish. It walks the tightrope of providing plenty of flavour while also being dry and crisp, right in the zone for Aussie gris. This has become the go to gris for many a mofo over the years so if this is your first run-in with this runaway success, welcome. If you’re already aware of this gorgeous gris, we know you’ll enjoy the 2020 oh, so much!

Eden Valley, SA
Single Vineyard | Boutique Producer
The team behind this wine have graduated from up-and-comer status to household name in recent years, with the help of some amazing reviews and a very consistent line-up of wines. We love them and their wines, and though this riesling is yet to be rated, we know it’s bound for praise. This pristine wine is about purity and flavour length. Classic bright citrus, a sprinkling of sherbet, a touch of jasmine and bright nervy acid. If I were you, I’d grab a case, because with the cellaring potential and likely accolades, you’ll be very glad you did.

Pinot Noir 2020
Yarra Valley, VIC
5 Star Halliday Rated Winery
This pinot inspires a love/hate relationship in me. I love the bright juicy fruit with the gentle earthiness and soft, easy tannin. I hate that a dozen sounds like enough, and then by week three you’re down to your last bottle. Be warned, mofo. You will definitely notice your friends swinging by more often once they’ve quaffed a glass or two of this with you. It’s just deliciously easy drinking, and made by a living Yarra legend. Bright cherries and strawberries, with just a sparkle of tannin for shape. It’s not Grand Cru Burgundy, it’s way more yummy.
YOU’D PAY $24 full price.
What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
