And we know you do, too. That’s why we won’t make you pick just one to get you through the month (or week). The greatest Aussie hit, the mighty shiraz, is here to battle it out for the position of your favourite drop. Whether it’s with friends, food, family or foes, you’re guaranteed that these beauties will make it a rip-roaring good time.
2x Pertaringa 'Belonging to the Hills' GSM 2022
Red — GSM
McLaren Vale — Australia
The Pertaringa name is no stranger to the Aussie household. The iconic Hardy family are to wine what vegemite is to toast: a perfect match. Take a great vintage, a world-famous blend, and classic McLaren Vale calibre and you have a wine that is almost impossible to get sick of. 'Jubey' was a word thrown around a lot on the tasting bench, so you know it must be true. Luscious, smooth, and fruit driven: this is a wine you could sink your teeth into every night.
You’d pay $30 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Lou Miranda Estate Golden Lion Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
The universally-adored Lou Miranda shiraz is without a doubt one of our favourite wines, for so many reasons. All family owned, all female run, all quality driven, and all American oak are just some of the great things about this wine year after year. The 2019 vintage was a stand out vintage for Barossa, something you can’t help but notice in this fruit driven, dramatic wine. Dark berries, plums and abundant spices, with a toasty, creamy and coconut-rich finish. It’s big, bold, and ballsy drinking to sink your teeth into at important family get-togethers. This beast will cellar for a decade or more, easily. That’s no reason to shy away from opening it though. We’re betting this lion won’t stay caged for long.
You’d pay $50 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Reschke Bos Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
This is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The needle in the haystack. This is why we show up to work every day and search the globe for the best wines. This right here, is the epitome of aged Coonawarra cabernet. Reschke are Coonawarra legends, and they don't hold back on the time and care that goes into their wines. Halliday would certainly agree, awarding the 2015 'Bos' 95pts in a recent tasting. Vibrant blackcurrant and oak have come together, tannins mellowed and earthy, secondary elements emerged. Enjoy drinking from the top shelf, you deserve it.
You’d pay $55 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Mitolo Jester Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
McLaren Vale — Australia
This is a jaw-dropping value delight from a Vale winery many a mofo has fallen in love with. This wine is built to entertain; its reason for being is to let the good times roll. Think jubilant, ripe fruit flavours with plushness to spare. A solid sprinkling of tannin keeps the edges in check and dribble-inducing flavours of liquered Morello cherry and chocolate abound.
You’d pay $27 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Parous McLaren Vale Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
We're embracing the return of Parous with open arms (and mouths). This mofo fave producer is bringing the party with the 2021 vintage, singing with Rhône-esque qualities, one bottle is not enough. Winemaker Matt Head hasn't held back with this beauty. The ultimate of McLaren Vale shiraz: dark, bold and velvety. Juicy black fruits and a gamey savoury edge meet chilli infused chocolate notes. This has serious breadth on the palate while remaining fresh enough to warrant another glass. It's not often you find such finessed wines at this price, and like all good things, there's not all that much to go around.
You’d pay $60 full price.
