Itâs back! Look out for the power of the 2018 vintage, loaded with dark plums, purple fruits and a great big whack of oak and tannins. The universally-adored Lou Miranda shiraz is back with a roar for the 2018 vintage. Still unmistakably Barossa, still as ferociously opulent as the name âGolden Lionâ suggests. This yearâs season produced juice of incredible quality, loaded to the brim with dark berries, plums and dramatic spices. Maturation in American oak gives both delightful toastiness and a fabulously creamy and coconut-rich finish. Itâs big, bold, and ballsy drinking to sink your teeth into at important family get-togethers. This beast will cellar for a decade or more, easily. Thatâs no reason to shy away from opening it though. Weâre betting this lion wonât stay caged for long.

Byron & Harold is the project of two well-connected career wine industry guys. They source fruit from some of their favourite vineyards around the country, making excellent wines that have earned them a Five Red Star Rating from James Halliday. Their Barossa shiraz is aptly named 'Hallmark' as it is exactly that for the region's famous style - opulent, silky-smooth, earthy and inky.

2+2=4. Barossa shiraz + talented producer = amazing wine. It really is a simple equation. Maverick Wines knows exactly what they are doing with their fruit and the end result is always a smashing wine. This shiraz has a few years of age on it, which has served to soften it a touch whilst still maintaining that oomph that makes the Barossa style so distinct and popular. The fruit is concentrated in the form of blackcurrant and plum, and there is a touch of earthiness underneath it all. On the finish, itâs a display fine tannins and length, rounding out an easy-drinking wine thatâll please anyone who digs luscious shiraz.

Here is another vintage of big, bold Barossa goodness from CW Wines. Itâs classic, powerful, rich Barossa shiraz with all the trimmings. A solid full-bodied palate, overflowing with fruit, spice and deliciousness. There is depth and complexity in the richness, with well-integrated tannin and a long finish. Itâs from the lauded sub-region of Vine Vale, where the best of the best are grown, resulting in a raucously ripe and powerfully plush profile that shiraz lovers across the country are sure to enjoy.
