Why do we love this case?

Variety is the spice of life, mofo, and this nifty little pack is just the ticket. It does exactly what it says on the tin, giving you a little bit of everything to sink your teeth into of an evening.

The bottles pictured here do not necessarily reflect the bottle shapes or closures that will be included in this pack. The Vinomofo team is working from home, to help fight against COVID-19 and keep staff safe, so all that cool stuff we use to make things look pretty is back at the office. We reckon that, so long as the wine is good (and it is!) it doesn’t matter too much under the circumstances. Hope you agree!

Every case contains ONE of each of the following:

Mofo Fave

St Johns Brook have a vineyard established in 1998, and work with close-to-organic, sustainable practices. The quality of the fruit shines through in their wines, particularly this reserve shiraz. There are firm dark fruits, like plums and blackberries, with a medium body and a softness in texture. The wine has seen 14 months in 50% new French and Hungarian oak providing it with beautiful chocolate and coffee notes, and abundant tannins.

Here's a fantastic example of why the Yarra Valley is so good at producing quality sparkling wine. It's hard to know which is the better half, both the chardonnay and pinot noir components deliver in spades. Chardonnay gets the party started with fine citrus fruit and mineral acidity, while pinot noir adds softer strawberry notes and body. Crisp and clean, there's a fine bead in the glass and a lovely creamy texture on your tongue. This is definitely fine fizz.

9/10 Halliday vintage rating

Pepper Tree wringes the absolute best out of Wrattonbully, producing this cabernet that is the bees’ knees when it comes to bang for your buck. Expressive and concentrated with plenty of cassis and blackcurrant - there’s a lovely touch of leafiness sitting with background cedary oak and spice. There’s only one thing on the menu - lamb. Whether it’s Greek gyros style, a middle eastern spiced backstrap or a good old fashioned Aussie leg roast, lamb is the key. Baa-ring it on!

We've come to adore Rosenthal over the last could of years for their reliably delicious reds and whites. This charddy is a lovely balance of stone fruit and zesty citrus wine a touch of vanilla from time in oak. There’s also a bit of lees stirring to add texture to an excellent wine. Drink up!

When we find a treasure that our mofos love, we keep going back for more. Here’s one we've brought in for a few vintages now. It comes from Atlas Wines and hits all the notes you’ve come to expect. It’s bursting with citrus, minerality and texture. Riesling from Clare is renowned for it’s bracing acid line carried forth with vivid fruit. This one delivers all that and then some.

Langhorne Creek doesn’t get as much attention as its big brother to the north, McLaren Vale, but they can certainly churn out some great reds. The region sits between two bodies of water, providing a maritime climate that leads to slower ripening and great structure on the wines. This grenache, produced under the Take it To the Grave label, is a great example of that. There’s spice, earthiness, blackberry and plum all held together with a taut acidity, making for a wine that is full in flavour but not heavy in the slightest. And you can take that to the bank.
