Why do we love this case?

You may have seen one of our fabled 95+ point packs in the past. Well, mofo, we’ll do you one better. The requirements are stricter, the bar has been raised, the threshold is tougher still. There ain’t many wines in the world that’d make it into this pack. This is hallowed ground indeed. 96+ points, mofos. We’re breathing rarified air up here.

Every case contains ONE of each of the following:

Mofo Fave

Oh sweet Lou, how the ‘Fo loves you! This RESERVE shiraz is from the excellent 2017 vintage and feels kinda like welding a jet engine to the back of their regular shiraz. In the glass, the colour is a deep crimson red and there’s lifted aromas of plum, pepper, vanilla and mocha. The palate is full and generous with dark fruits, interwoven spice and savoury tannins. Lou Miranda has included American oak in the ageing regime on this, adding a touch of coconut and further vanilla to the wine. It’s ready to go with a big ole’ steak right now or will happily nap in your cellar for 15 years. This big boy is here for you now and in the future.

Can you hear that, mofos? No? Listen a little harder. There it is. Mitooooloooooo. Such is the universal demand for this wine, that the sound of mofos fervently whispering the name has entered into the cosmos. It’s in the wind, it’s in the dial-up ringtone, in the resonant frequency of empty wineglasses. Gradually, over weeks and months of absence-induced longing, it builds, until the deafening cacophony reaches fever pitch. Then it arrives. Glorious, gleaming bottles of juicy plums, tangy blackberry, char and spices, and super dark chocolate. Sumptuous, succulent mouthfeel to satisfy even thirstiest of mofos. If you’ve never tried it, you’re in for one helluva journey.

Single Vineyard

This wine, from the esteemed team at Clarence Hill, is made from single vineyard, old vines, which adds an extra little something, as does extended time resting in oak. There's black cherry and red currant on the nose, with a little bit of char. Full and round on the palate with tannin from the oak. Long and satisfying.

Château Beauvillage makes one wine and one wine only. They’ve been at it this way since 1925. Good thing they are so skilled at it. Year after year, it delivers its distinctive character. The 2018 edition saw 12 months in toasted French oak before bottling. It’s wonderfully complex and aromatic with ripe fruit notes of cherry and plum with hints of cedar, mocha and smoke behind the scenes. The tannins are silky and lead to a lingering finish. This is a wine of richness and structure, something both hedonistic and serious at the same time.

French Import

Corbières is the leading appellation of the Languedoc-Roussillon region in south west France. The region is famous for their powerful red blends and this is a very classy example of their place. This wine has a deep dark colour and dense cassis, forest floor and shaved graphite on the nose. The palate starts very elegantly and then boom - fruit and power. Dark berries and potpurri with super-fine and abundant tannin. There’s a hint of beef stock on the back palate with all that chalky tannin and black tea on the finish - lots going on. This is a long and powerful wine, with so many flavours and nuances to discover.
