Why do we love this case?
We (just) managed to wrangle some of our favourites together, but don't expect this to happen all that often. This is rarer than some of the wines we've managed to include, and you're guaranteed to be taken on a journey of flavours. From chardy, to aged semillon, to riesling, we bet we'll have you banging on our (digital) doorstep to get more of these beauties as soon as they're gone.
1x Wills Domain Yallingup Estate The Coveted Chardonnay 2020
White — Chardonnay
Margaret River — Australia
This is a producer who routinely knocks it out of the park - their stylistically perfect, speaking to both region and varietal to a T. If you were to close your eyes and conjure an image (with your tastebuds) of what you want Margs chardy to be, this is it.
You’d pay $60 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Tempus Two Pewter Semillon 2014
White — Semillon
Hunter Valley — Australia
When it comes to aged sem, the first thing we want to notice is somewhat counter-intuitive; we want to see freshness leap out of the glass. This hits that brief immediately, a bouquet of white flowers and zippy lemon (almost lemon drop confectionary) that leads into a lanolin-like honeysuckle bit of complexity. A brilliant wine that is drinking perfectly at a decade old (or young) - weighty, chewy-yet-tart, lively and - dare we say it - still with a few flecks of green grass. This is a varietal masterclass - classic, poignant, proper sem. Salut!
You’d pay $43 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Terra Verde Chardonnay 2018
White — Chardonnay
Tasmania — Australia
2018 was the vintage that Tassie winemakers dreamed of. Just enough rain and a long, sunny autumn. Perfect for those slow-ripening cool climate grapes. This chardonnay was hand-picked, whole-berry pressed and sent straight to barrel to ferment with wild yeast. Nine months resting on lees has built texture and complexity, resulting in a delicious wine spanning the spectrum from apple to stone fruit to nectarine to flint. A bit of vanilla and spice from the oak shines through as well.
You’d pay $45 full price.

1x Auld Family Wines Wilberforce Riesling 2022
White — Riesling
Eden Valley — Australia
Oh, the purity! We know riesling is a pretty honest grape, but this one has more integrity than you can poke a stick at. How did we get here? Well, the producer took the fruit from the cooler southern end of the Eden Valley and harvested it in the evening, allowing for grapes with perfect ripeness and no stress from excessive heat. This leads to balance, purity and intensity in a finished wine. There are floral notes on the nose, a chalky and minerally texture on the palate and flavours of lime and mandarin, leading to bright acidity on the finish. This is quintessential Eden rizza, refreshing and vibrant, only weighed down by the bling of reviews.
You’d pay $35 full price.

1x Sidewood Mappinga Chardonnay 2021
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide Hills — Australia
The Mappinga chardy is always hot property, and I couldn't be prouder to bring this wine to our mofos after all this time. Sidewood are masters of elegance, and this is exactly that: a fine balance between vibrant citrus and white stone fruit harmonised against the richer vanilla and melon characters. I mean, just read that review from Halliday Wine Companion and tell us you're not salivating. It's a no-brainer.
You’d pay $38 full price.

1x Twin Valleys Reserve Pinot Gris 2023
White — Pinot Gris
Alpine Valleys — Australia
Exuding elegance and charm, this is a gris that captivates all senses. Delicate floral aromas intertwine with the vibrant spiced pear fruit notes, cinnamon, and Meyer lemon, creating an inviting bouquet. Tensely balanced to provide both freshness and texure, this is really an ‘all-purpose’ wine for any food or mood.
You’d pay $30 full price.
